fuck you robert and george zimmerman.

ancestryinprogress:

Just today, I read that Robert Zimmerman released a letter to The Orlando Sentinel concerning the portrayal of his son in the media.

The letter did not apologize for his son’s heinous crime.

The letter did not show any empathy for what Trayvon’s family is going through.

The letter did not even apologize for the fact that George Zimmerman took a life.

That bullshit ass fucking letter stated that “Everyone would be shocked at how the MEDIA is treating GEORGE when they find out the TRUTH.”

Right because you were fucking there when it happened.

Right because we’re not going to be mad about your grown ass, cop-battering ass, patrolling victimizing suspicious stalkerish ass son killing an innocent minor?

No, we’re not going to be angry about the injustice of your son still not be charged for the murder. We’re not going to be angry that we have to fucking sign a petition ASKING for the police to do their fucking job. We’re not going to be angry that the only action being taken in this case is the publishing of articles about how curious it is.

No, we’re going to be angry that your son was called…..a racist?

FUCK YOU.

You know what it did do?

It fucking talked about all the black friends George has. All the black neighbors who believe in George. All the black children who have named George as a mentor.

That’s right. It is the FUCKING epitome of white denial. “I’m not racist, I have black friends/neighbors/spouses/fuck buddies/mentors/mentees/etc.”

You know what else it did?

It attempted to equate the Zimmerman’s hurt fucking fee-fee’s over being called RACIST with the death of Trayvon Martin.

“He’s a Spanish speaking minority with black friends and family members.”

How different is that from saying, “Thomas Jefferson was fucking Sally Hemmings but he didn’t mind whipping the shit out of his black slaves and treating them as if they were property.”

Fuck you George and Robert Zimmerman. You are a waste of space. Fuck your life. Fuck your dreams. Fuck your goals. Fuck your DNA. Fuck your space. Fuck your time. Fuck your afterlife. Fuck your possibilities. Fuck everything you believe in. Fuck everything you love.

Fuck you.

You know why?

Because this case shows me that Trayvon Martin is not being recognized as a citizen. Black Americans, guess what? We’re not citizens. Because we are clearly not entitled to justice at the hands of our courts. We are clearly not entitled to protection by the law. We are clearly not protected in our rights to roam this land freely. We are clearly not afforded the right to walk down the street safely and return to our homes safely without fear of being killed BECAUSE OF OUR COLOR.

Guess what? If you find a person deeply suspicious (who is also unarmed) because they are black? You are racist.

I realize that people are heavily invested in not talking about this case because it implicates white folk. By saying that George Zimmerman acted on his racist beliefs and committed a crime (without apology and without punishment), we are allowing other white folk who might have done the same thing to be implicated in their latent racism. When you lock your doors automatically when a black man walks by (even if he hasn’t glanced your way), you’re acting on racism. When you clutch your purse, acting on racism. When you assume that the black person is an other in a space that they clearly belong to/have membership in/were visiting and you seek to deny them that access that wasn’t yours to deny in the first place? Acting on your racism.

George Zimmerman acted on his racist belief that a young black man walking down the street in his neighborhood was a “POTENTIALLY” suspicious character. And if he were so suspicious, what did killing him (without a crime being committed) solve? If Trayvon had stolen a car, had committed grand larceny, had killed a cat, had abused someone, had committed an actual crime, then the conversation might be different. But his only crime was being young AND black, and holding ICE TEA AND SKITTLES.

ICE TEA.

SKITTLES.

Black people can’t even go to the store. Can’t even buy a drink and a fucking snack without being policed by white people. Can’t even walk down the street and come back home without our lives being in danger.

This is not an isolated event. This is not a curious case.

When we tell you that we literally fear for our lives, we mean that shit. Especially, when America is telling us that even in 2012, we can be killed for no just cause and not be entitled to justice.

Oh but you want to reblog and make the video about Kony 2012 viral because the black man is the villain here. 80 million views. Sold out bracelets and T-shirts. But Zimmerman can’t get arrested and charged for a murder that he committed here on our own soil.

And you want to fucking tell me that this shit is not about RACE?

Fuck you.

I hope that the family sues the FUCK out of the Zimmerman family and that they are forced to move out of that community. I hope that they are ostracized. I hope that their neighbors no longer feel safe around them. I hope that they lose everything that they have. I hope that they force your ass to move to the ‘hood. See if you want to be patrolling around, then. See if you give a shit about who looks suspicious. See what happens when YOU seem like the intruder. I would, personally, take them for every fucking red cent that they own.

Fuck you.

A black boy is a CLEAR AND PRESENT THREAT WHEN HE IS HOLDING SKITTLES.

A rainbow ass candy is a threat. Some sugary ass bullshit drink is a threat.

ICE TEA.

SKITTLES.

Fuck you.

How do we protect our babies? How do I protect my little brothers? Especially the 13 year old.

How do I tell him that at any moment a white man with a 9 millimeter gun could have felt entitled to take his life just because he was walking down the street? How do I tell him that at any moment he could have been in a subway, taking the train to his next destination and be killed by a cop who “thought” his gun was instead a taser? How do I tell him that at any moment he could be trying to unlock the front door to his own fucking house and that his neighbors will report him as being suspicious and that the police will still arrest him? How do I tell him that he could be placed in remedial courses automatically because the assumption is that he doesn’t belong in challenging courses, before he’s even tested for aptitude? How do I tell him that his body will be looked upon as a threat? His clothing will be seen as a threat. His mannerisms and his speech will be seen as a threat? He could be President and he will still be denied legitimacy.

That in our own country, in a so-called protected neighborhood, the only threat and danger happened to be the people they were keeping in, not the people they were trying so desperately to keep out.

FUCK YOU.
